Pristop is a highly successful European consultancy and communications company based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Pristop offers a variety of services, ranging from business consulting, marketing, digital communications, event management and planning to media publications monitoring and analysis.
Being successful in today’s fast-paced business world means being able to meet the client’s challenging demands with speed and efficacy, professionalism and a unique approach which sets you apart from the rest.
This is a challenge which Pristop successfully overcomes, and which our translation company is equally eager to meet.
With our reliable resources at stand-by, Alkemist provides translation, proofreading and interpreting services in both regional languages such as Slovenian, Croatian, Bosnian, Serbian and Albanian, as well as major European languages like English, German, French and Russian.
Even though the majority of orders we receive from Pristop are short texts, the bar raises when these are handled within a tight deadline, while still insisting on precision and fidelity to the original, on keeping the target audience in mind and never forgetting to be creative with language.
Be it a newspaper publication, a financial report, a slogan, a promotional Facebook post, a product description or an advertising campaign, all projects are given equal attention to offer a quality translation.
Good advertisements are difficult to produce and equally demanding to translate.
For Pristop, we rose to the challenge of translating rhyming slogans advertising an apple cider from Slovenian into English which needed to be in verse, localized, witty, topical and understandable to a broad audience.
An equally intricate project was the translation of the popular TV show “Friends” theme song for a marketing campaign, but not from the original English version – the task was to back-translate the Slovenian rendition of the song with the original song as a reference.
Pristop’s orders also involve short advertisement texts built on word-play revolving around a single word. Our task is to preserve the equivalent target-language word, while still leaving room for wordplay conveying the same message as the original.
We are thankful to Pristop for trusting us as their professional partners with tasks which allow us to learn, improve and push the limits of language.
We are looking forward to our future cooperation and we are excited to tackle any new project.
