Privredna banka Zagreb d.d. has been one of the largest Croatian banks since its establishment in 1966. Today, it is a member of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, one of the largest banking groups in Europe.
It has an image as a dynamic and modern European bank, always developing new services and platforms for 21st century clients. For years, it has been developing one of its most prominent user services – its mobile banking app. The app is being continuously developed at the Group level and translated into Croatian. This is where we come in.
For the past three years, we have worked closely with PBZ, not just on translating the many useful features and functions of the app, but also on bringing it closer to the Croatian users. We don’t just translate, we localize.
Software localization requires translators that are acutely aware of the linguistic and cultural requirements of a market. By using Transifex, a web-based translation platform designed for frequently updated content, our team of translators and project managers can liaise with PBZ’s engineers, marketing experts and copywriters in real-time to ensure the best user experience for the app.
The result of this lasting cooperation is a mobile banking app for Android, iPhone and – for the first time ever in Croatia – Apple Watch, which has been praised by users and IT experts.
Software localization can be a challenging task, but the interplay between technology and language is just as rewarding. PBZ trusted us with putting their users first. We are thankful for that trust and excited to see what new challenges we will face together.
