Saatchi&Saatchi is a marketing agency, a member of the Publicis Group. It operates throughout the region and takes credit for advertising campaigns for some of the most famous brands on the Serbian market and surrounding countries.
Our cooperation with the agency began in 2016 in an unconventional way - we were asked for our opinion on the adaptation of an advertising slogan to the languages of the region. From today’s perspective, we can only say that they liked our answer, as we have been performing translations and adaptations almost every day for Saatchi&Saatchi ever since.
Although often short, slogans and advertising texts for the agency’s campaigns can be a great challenge and thus they are approached with equal professionalism and dedication. We always bear in mind that the advertisement has a limited duration and that the message must be harmonized with the idea of the entire campaign.
In advertising texts, a play on words, metaphors, ambiguities, and even lyrics are very common. Our task is to communicate the message faithfully in Montenegrin, Croatian, Bosnian, Macedonian, Slovenian and Albanian, bearing in mind the target group the advertisement is intended for.
Good communication with the client and the creativity of the Alkemist team are a key to such projects, and we are happy to say that we have both.
At the very beginning of our collaboration, we established a translation workflow for every advertising campaign we make for Saatchi&Saatchi: once the client presents the campaign to our Project Manager, the Project Manager prepares the workflow with a well-trained team of translators and proofreaders in order to communicate all the relevant information to conceptualize a creative solution and translation localization into the team’s target language.
The collaboration with Saatchi&Saatchi has brought us new and valuable experience. We have realized that sometimes translating five words can be a more demanding and time-consuming task than translating a whole page, but thanks to Saatchi&Saatchi, we have recognized the true power of our linguistic alchemy.
